New from Custom MMIC, the CMD238 2-20GHz amplifier expands its proven BroadRange Distributed Amplifier portfolio. The CMD238 is a wideband GaAs MMIC distributed amplifier designed for wideband applications requiring high linearity in a small die size. From 2 to 20GHz, the device delivers 14dB of gain with an output P1dB of +26dBm, an output IP3 of +34dBm, and a 2nd harmonic level of -33dBc. It operates from a 5V to 8V power supply. The CMD238 is a pin-compatible replacement for the obsolete CMM0014 amplifier. The amplifier features a 50ohm matched design, which eliminates the need for external DC blocks and RF port matching. Applications include defence, space and communications systems.
