Sensor shield evaluation kit integrates 10 sensors for IoT prototyping

Mouser is now stocking the new SENSORSHLD1-EVK-101 sensor shield evaluation kit from ROHM Semiconductor. This second-generation sensor shield integrates 10 onboard sensors into a board with an Arduino Uno R3-compatible layout to ensure the kit works with existing open source prototyping platforms. The evaluation kit enables design engineers to create build a sensor environment for prototyping and initial set development for IoT and machine-to-machine applications. The sensor shield removes the hardware and software challenges of switching out sensors by incorporating ROHM sensors on an Arduino Uno R3-compatible board. In addition to these sensors, the board integrates a digital barometric pressure sensor, magnetometer, digital magnetometer and accelerometer, and digital microphone. The kit is compatible with many open source platforms, including the Intel Arduino 101 development board and NXP LPCXpresso541xx development tools, allowing engineers to evaluate sensor-based designs for industrial, automotive, connected home, and other applications.
