Available from Mouser, the Digi XBee S2D ZigBee thread-ready RF modules provides a larger memory capacity to enable designers to easily upgrade to the Thread networking protocol. The modules maintain the proven benefits of previous XBee versions, while adding a higher memory Silicon Labs EM3587 chipset. These modules offer 512kB flash memory. This higher memory capacity allows designers to fully implement the Thread networking protocol in end nodes and routers. The thread protocol provides a low-power, self-healing, IPv6 addressable mesh network with advanced security at the networking layer.
