High-gain, high-linearity Skyworks SKY66186-11 series power amplifiers are now available from RFMW. Designed for ‘small cell’ applications, the device provides 38dB of gain for LTE radios operating in the 728 to 768MHz frequency range (B12, B13, B14, B17). Designed for high linearity at elevated temperatures, the SKY66186-11 supports outdoor applications where ambient temperatures range from -40C to +85C. Typical ACLR performance is -50dBc at 23dBm. The device features an enable pin to provide for fast switching in LTE TDD systems which can also be used to power down the amplifier when not in use. An integrated coupler offers power monitoring or closed loop power control. The SKY66186-11 comes in a 5mm x 5mm package and operates from a 3.3V supply.
