Latest from Custom MMIC is the CMD233C4, a new 2 - 18GHz distributed amplifier version of the company's CMD233 die product. The CMD233C4 is a wideband GaAs MMIC distributed amplifier with a low noise figure of 4.5dB and output 1dB compression point of +20.5dBm. The device delivers over 9dB of gain and operates from a single 3V to 6V supply. The CMD233C4 is a replacement for the CMM4000, now in packaged form. The product is a 50ohm matched design which eliminates the need for external DC blocks and RF port matching. Applications for the CMD233C4 include defence, space and communication systems, says the company.
