Light sensor converts solar UV light to digital data with reliable performance

13-09-2016 | RS Components | Test & Measurement

Stocked by RS Components, the VEML6075 from Vishay Semiconductors is an ultraviolet light sensor that integrates into a single chip a photodiode, amplifiers, 16-bit analogue to digital circuits and I²C interface. The sensor is able to detect UV-A (315nm to 400nm) and UV-B (280nm to 315nm) wavelength of light and provide a digital measure of UV intensity.
