Latest from Skyworks is a new family of GPIO-controlled high-performance RF cellular switches for LTE and GSM applications. The SKY13581-676LF (SP2T), SKY13582-676LF (SP3T) and SKY13626-685LF (SP4T) are for LTE, while the SKY13597-684LF (SP4T) is for GSM systems. The switches are ideal for products such as smartphones, data cards and MiFi hotspot applications, says the company. The devices are designed to operate over the complete cellular frequency range including support for Band 42 and Band 43 (up to 3.8GHz), allowing customers to use one part for all band requirements. They also feature low insertion loss for higher transmission efficiency and excellent harmonic performance with improved receiver sensitivity. The SKY13581-676LF, SKY13582-676LF and SKY13626-685LF share a common layout and are pin-to-pin, footprint compatible, enabling faster development times.
