Automotive-grade IHLD dual inductors saves space and provide better performance in Class D amplifiers

Vishay Dual Inductors offer high-temperature operation to +155C. They are now available from TTI Europe. The Automotive Grade IHLD-3232HB-5A saves board space by combining two inductors in one 9.75mm x 9.14mm package. Built on the company’s IHLP technology, the AEC-Q200-qualified inductor pair offers maximum DCR from 29.2mohm to 159.43mohm, inductance from 5µH to 33µH, and rated current to 6.0A. Other values are available upon request. Manufactured using a 100% lead (Pb)-free shielded, composite construction package, they have high resistance to thermal shock, moisture, mechanical shock, and vibration. The automotive grade device offers maximum DCR from 32.6mohm to 107mohm, inductance from 10µH to 33µH, rated current to 5.6A, and a frequency range up to 1MHz. The device handles high transient current spikes without saturation and has excellent temperature stability for inductance and saturation over its operating range. Its optimal design produces high-quality sound, low distortion, and low coupling for minimal cross-talk between inductors. Both are optimised for automotive and commercial class D amplifier circuits, where the devices reduce board space requirements and offer improved performance over multiple individual inductors. They both have an operating temperature range of -55C to +155C.
