RN2 Technologies' couplers, combiners, terminations, attenuators and power
dividers are now available from Aspen Electronics.
The offering includes 90 degree, 3dB hybrid couplers featuring four ports to
divide or combine RF power. The hybrid couplers are made of RN2 developed
LTCC material with patented circuit design providing low insertion loss and
high isolation performance. The couplers also support high-power
applications, up to 300W with a small size package. The surface-mount parts
pictured feature LTCC base, low-loss silver conductors and gold plating
finish and are also RoHS compliant.
A notable example is the CMX19Q03, a 90 degree hybrid coupler with a
frequency range of 1700 to 2000MHz, average power of 200W, insertion loss of
0.1 dB, 25dB isolation and amplitude balance of ±0.2dB
Another highlight of the RN2 range is the device's SMD terminations. Using
either Alumina or AlN material, the small and highly-reliable terminations
are capable of handling RF powers up to 150W, with exceptional return loss.
For example, the S2525N100 features a termination for applications up to
3GHz. With a power rating of 100W, a return loss of 23dB and operating
temperature of -55C to 125C., they are ideal for TETRA, GSM, UMTS, LTE, plus
other VHF and UHF applications, says the company.
