Custom MMIC has a new GaAs MMIC frequency doubler, the CMD225C3. The newly released device operates with an input frequency range of 4GHz-8GHz. This passive frequency doubler can be driven with a +15dBm input signal with a low conversion loss of 13dB, and excellent Fo and 3Fo isolations of at least 47dBc. The device is a 50ohm matched design to eliminate the need for RF port matching.
This frequency doubler comes in a Pb-free RoHs compliant 3mm x 3mm surface mount package and is ideal for low phase noise frequency synthesisers and local oscillators, says the company.
