Camera enables real 3D scanning and data output - like the human eye

The digital Intel RealSense camera, now available from Rutronik, combines a 1080p-HD-camera, the smallest infrared laser projector with an improved range by 60%, as well as an infrared camera with an optimized IR sensor, up to 200fps support, more than 18M 3D points per second and a three times improved signal quality. With these characteristics, the camera 'sees' like the human eye to sense depth and track human motion enabling real 3D scanning and data output. The camera features a 2nd-generation ASIC with an RGB latency of 5x reduction in standby power, an option for wake up on RealSense and a 340mW reduction in active power. The software features the new Virtual Stylus gesture mode with jitter-free hover and a 2x improvement in gestures speed (up to 2m/s) , says the company. Electronica, Hall A5, Booth 262.
