Available from Mouser, the Sensirion SHT3x Series offers their next generation of temperature and humidity sensors. The series contains a low cost version SHT30, and a standard version, SHT31. SHT3x series thus combines multiple functions and various interfaces with a user-friendly and very wide operating voltage range of 2.4V to 5.5V. The series also has increased intelligence, reliability and improved accuracy specifications compared to its predecessor. Its functionality includes enhanced signal processing, temperature and humidity that can be read out at different pins. The DFN package has a footprint of 2.5mm x 2.5mm while keeping a height of 0.9mm. The company has expanded their product offering with a new version that offers a protective membrane cover and an expanded the application range. The membrane is a PTFE foil that protects the sensor opening from water and dust according to IP67. Sensors with the membrane can be used in harsh environmental conditions where water and dust may affect the sensor's accuracy and performance.
