Surface mount attenuator pads have excellent flatness on small chip size

SemiGen has added a series of fixed attenuator pads to its expanding product offerings. The company offers a selection of fixed attenuators pads with an attenuation of 0dB up to 100dB. These attenuator pads feature precise resistor films and superior metallization resulting in a flat response from DC to up to 50GHz. Attenuator pads offer power handling from 1W to 5W continuous wave (CW) with minimum return losses of 18dB up to 14GHz and 16dB from 15GHz to 50GHz. These attenuators are optimized for coplanar waveguide or microstrip PCB and microwave module assemblies. The company’s advanced thin-film technology allows these parts to have full side wraps for surface mount or on-board installations with a chip size of 0.03” x 0.03” on most of the designs. Ideally suited for a wide range of applications up to 50 GHz including microwave, radio, defense subsystem, fiber optics, medical, and sensors.
