Automotive TVS diodes protect from load dump and voltage transients

09-01-2017 | Digikey | Semiconductors

Littelfuse's AEC-Q101 qualified TP5KP series automotive TVS diodes offer a 5000W peak pulse power dissipation rating in a standard P600 axial-lead package. They are available now from Digi-Key. Their high peak pulse power dissipation rating helps the power systems into which they are designed pass surge tests outlined in the ISO7637-2 international standard, which is widely used in the automotive industry as the basis for transient specifications. Applications for the series include DC line protection and ESD protection in automotive electronics such as electronic control units, sensors, entertainment systems, and body control modules (BCMs). They are also useful for the protection of I/O interfaces, VCC busses and other vulnerable circuits used in telecom, computer, industrial, and portable consumer electronics applications.
