High reliability automotive-grade surface mount MLCCs now available

Now available through TTI Europe are KEMET’s X7R and C0G automotive-grade surface mount MLCCs for a variety of applications requiring reliable operation. The X7R and C0G components undergo a strict testing protocol and inspection criteria making them ideal for use in harsh environmental conditions. The series devices are available in 0402, 0603, 0805, 1206, 1210, 1812, and 2220 case sizes, with DC voltage ratings of 6.3V, 10V, 16V, 25V, 50V, 100V, 200V, and 250V, as well as capacitance offerings ranging from 10pF up to 22µF. Capacitance tolerances are ±5%, ±10%, and ±20%. The operating temperature range is from -55C up to +125C. The products benefit from voltage conditioning and post-electrical testing as per MIL–PRF–55681, Destructive Physical Analysis (DPA) as per EIA–469, and biased humidity testing (85/85) as per MIL–STD–202. A 100% pure matte tin-plated termination finish allows for excellent solderability. A SnPb termination finish option is available (5% Pb minimum). C0G series components benefit from extremely low ESR and ESL values, high thermal stability, high ripple current capability and are available in 0201, 0402, 0603, 0805, 1206, 1210, 1808, 1812, 1825, 2220, and 2225 case sizes. DC voltage ratings are 10V, 16V, 25V, 50V, 100V, 200V, and 250V. Capacitance offerings range from 0.5pF up to 0.47µF. Capacitance tolerances are ±0.10 pF, ±0.25 pF, ±0.5 pF, ±1%, ±2%, ±5%, ±10%, and ±20%. The operating temperature range is from -55C up to +125C. A 100% pure matte tin-plated termination finish allows for excellent solderability. A SnPb termination finish option is available (5% Pb minimum).
