ADI’s AD9530 / AD9531 are single and multi-output clock generators and are now available from Digi-Key. The AD9530 is a fully integrated PLL and distribution supporting, clock cleanup, and frequency translation device. The AD9530 features an internal 5.11GHz to 5.4GHz VCO. All four outputs are individually divided down from the internal VCO using two high speed VCO dividers and four individual 8-bit channel dividers. The AD9531 provides a multi-output clock generator function and three on-chip PLL cores with serial peripheral interface (SPI) programmable output frequencies and formats. The PLL1 is a fractional-N/integer with and optional external VCXO. The PLL2 is an integer-N with input format of differential/single-ended/crystal. The PLL3 is an integer-N with a frequency range of 9.5MHz to 100MHz. The AD9530 comes in a small 7mm x 7mm 48-LFCSP package and the AD9531 comes in a 12mm x 12mm 88-LFCSP package. Both have an operating temperature range of -40C to +85C.
