This range of one-dimensional PSDs (position sensing detectors) from Hamamatsu has compact plastic packages. They are available now from RS Components. The detectors provide high position detection resolution, high reliability and a reduction in disturbance from background light. Suitable applications include auto focusing cameras, range finders, optical proximity switches and displacement metres.
