Expansion of high efficiency AC/DC front-end power supplies portfolio

Bel Power Solutions has expanded their front-end, AC/DC power supply portfolio to include the TET3000-12-069RA power supply suitable for a wide range of servers and networking applications.   The device is a 3000W Titanium efficient front-end AC/DC power supply that converts standard AC mains power into a main output of 12VDC for powering intermediate bus architectures (IBA) in high performance and high reliability servers, routers and network switches.   The device delivers a power density of 32W/in3 and achieves Titanium efficiency (>96% efficient at 50% load) in a compact package measuring 69mm x 40.5mm x 555mm. The AC/DC stage uses soft switching resonant techniques to reduce component stresses, providing increased system reliability and very high efficiency, in conjunction with synchronous rectification. It also has a DC input voltage range of 180-410VDC. An active ORing device on the output ensures no reverse load current and renders the supply ideally suited for operation in redundant power systems. Power supplies are hot swappable and can be connected in parallel with active digital current sharing. An always-on +12V 36W standby output is provided.   The device features system communications via I2C/PMBus protocol allowing full monitoring of the supply, voltages, current, power and temperature. Multiple protections such as overvoltage, overcurrent and overtemperature are standard. RoHS compliant and CE marked, the power supply is safety agency certified per UL/CSA 60950-1 and meets the requirements of EN 60950-1. It further meets the conducted and radiated EMI requirements of EN 55022-A.
