Automotive touchscreen solutions for electromagnetic immunity, waterproofing and glove touch performance

Cypress Semiconductor has expanded its automotive solutions portfolio with a capacitive touchscreen controller that delivers best-in-class waterproofing, glove touch and resistance to electromagnetic interference. The EMI resistance is driven by their proprietary AutoArmor technology. The new Automotive TrueTouch CYAT8165X controllers, which target screens up to 8.5 inches, join a portfolio that includes the company’s Automotive TrueTouch CYAT8168X controllers, for screens up to 15 inches. “The Automotive TrueTouch CYAT8165X touchscreen controller family delivers a flawless user experience under the broad range of harsh automotive environments in next-generation vehicles,” said Dr. Jing Mu, senior director of Automotive HMI Marketing for Cypress. “Our TrueTouch solutions combine with Cypress’s wireless connectivity solutions and automotive MCUs and memories to form the industry’s broadest automotive portfolio, helping our customers to consolidate their supply chains and accelerate their time to market.”
