Switchtec has introduced the Arnocanali range of distribution blocks. Used to distribute incoming power to smaller or numerous cables within panels, the distribution blocks reduce installation time and keep cable usage to a minimum, providing time and cost savings over traditional methods.
Aimed at OEMs, CEMs, panel builders, equipment manufacturers and machine builders, and for use in BMS panels and control panels, DIN rail mountable distribution blocks comprise a wide range of products. From the single pole BKB series to the multi-pole BD series, the company is able to offer distribution blocks for any relevant application.
The versatile distribution blocks offer many benefits and design advantages. First and foremost they can be used to establish an electromechanical connection between large cross-section, high current carrying cables with one or more wires having smaller cross-sections, making it possible to manage multiple load connections and a wide range of cable and wire sizes. They also provide the facility to interlock multiple blocks side by side, forming a compact design layout that saves space within control panels; they make it possible to distribute power in a compact space without additional accessories.
Provided as single pole units with up to 12 connection points, the BKB series distribution blocks are available in 125A, 160A, 250A and 400A ratings, while the multi-pole BD series is available with 7, 8, 11, 13, and 15 connection points per pole, embracing single, double or four pole options, and in 125A and 160A ratings. Clear ratings and cable sizes are printed on the products.
