Reliable connection with unique contact-spring system to prevent fretting corrosion

TE Connectivity’s miniature Micro-MaTch connector family, available now from TTI Europe, provides a proven reliable connection with its unique contact-spring system to help prevent fretting corrosion by absorbing movements between male and female contacts.   The  contact concept is essentially different from other systems available. By its design, the traditional failure mode in tinplated connections, fretting corrosion, is prevented. The separation of the two basic functions of the contact system (contact force generation and wire termination), enables the optimization of both functions and leads to relatively simple contact shapes.   It is a more economical design that meets the needs of less demanding applications. The Value-line is the latest addition to their connector family. This new series features a more economical design and meets the needs of less demanding applications in the industrial, consumer and datacom industry. The line is built around the company’s existing high quality connector system and has been developed to suit environments where a broad temperature range, many mating cycles and vibration resistance are less relevant. On a pitch of 1.27mm, the line offers a variety of wire-to-board inter-connections.
