New IP67 panel mount indicator reduces inventory cost and opens up design opportunities

VCC has launched a watertight IP67-rated LED panel mount indicator with a unique optical low-profile lens. The PML50 Series panel mount indicator with FlexVolt technology features a built-in ultra-bright LED that provides uniform illumination for application applications that require consistent identification and communication through light. The series achieves full brightness in microseconds - even in daylight viewing conditions The ruggedized indicator can be used with voltages ranging from 5V to 28V DC circuits, which reduces inventory cost and opens up unlimited design opportunities. Offering a long operating life of 100K hours, the series is designed for equipment often exposed to harsh environments including vibration, extreme temperatures, humidity, shock (dirty power), dust/dirt, fluids, and more. Typical applications include automation and control, gaming and vending, industrial, maritime, oil & gas, people movers, safety and emergency, transportation, wastewater and treatment, and more. "When equipment demands accurate identification and recognition regardless of external conditions, the PML50 Series LED panel mount indicator ensures bright indication and communication," said Sannah Vinding, director of product development and marketing at VCC. The LED indicator is available in five single colors including red, green, white, blue and yellow. The series is also offered in bi-color versions including red/green with a clear lens for increased contrast between on and off. The LED panel mount indicator has a panel hole diameter of 17.5mm.
