Available now from RS Components, the Just MeArm Kit from Mime Industries is a desktop robot arm which you can build with a screwdriver and then control with your choice of controller board. You can control the device using the an Arduino board, Beaglebone, Raspberry Pi and many others. The code for the various boards can easily be found via Google. Designed as a fun educational project to introduce you to the world of programming, electronic and robotics.
This kit requires some knowledge of programming as you'll need to set up the controller board. The MeArm Deluxe Kit is also available and includes a controller and joystick controls so you can be up and running as soon as you have put it together.
