Euroquartz is launching two new ranges of oscillators, offering ultra-low phase jitter of 150fs typical. The new devices are available in frequencies from 50MHz to 2100MHz with a choice of outputs including LVPECL, LVDS and CML differential. HCSL differential outputs are available for oscillators up to 700MHz.
EQJF series oscillators feature a choice of supply voltages – 1.8V, 2.5V or 3.3V – across the range apart from LVPECL with 2.5V and 3.3V only. Frequency stability specifications of ±25, ±50 and ±100ppm over both commercial (-10C to +70C) and industrial (-40C to +85C) temperature ranges are available as standard with tighter custom options supplied to special order.
Complementing the EQJF series is the EQVJF range of VCXOs offering frequencies from 150MHz to 2100MHz (HCSL 150MHz to 700MHz) with identical options and similar RMS phase jitter performance.
Both ranges feature maximum ageing of ±3ppm in first year (±2ppm per year thereafter), duty cycle of 50%±5%, rise times of 0.35ns maximum (0.4ns for HCSL) and current consumption from 70 to 100mA typical depending on output logic selected. Additional features include start-up time of 5ms typical, 10ms maximum and output enable/disable functions.
RoHS compliant, the new EQJF oscillators and EQVJF VCXOs are housed in industry standard eight-pad, 7mm x 5mm surface mount packages capable of withstanding 260C for 10 seconds, twice.
Applications include flat panel displays for consumer TVs, video streaming systems via external cables (e.g. LDI), high speed serial communications links such as Serial ATA & FireWire, SONET, xDSL, SDH, set-top box and Ethernet cards.
