Isolated DC-DC quarter brick converter offers a compact solution for PoE

Bel Power Solutions and Protection offers the 0RQB-C5U54LG, a next-generation DC-DC converter with an ultra-wide input range (4:1) and 2250VDC isolation. The device is a PoE quarter brick solution that delivers 162W overall input voltage range, from 18VDC to 75VDC. This feature-rich module is fixed-frequency, highly efficient and very compact at only 37mm x 59mm x 15mm. The device was designed to support the IEEE 802.3af standard for power transmitted over LAN cables, including VoIP for powering IP cameras, radios, sensors and telephones, industrial instruments and controllers and wireless access points. As well, 2250 VDC isolation allows engineers to directly attach the brick baseplate to a cool down surface or heatsink, making additional isolation unnecessary. The units come equipped with standard protection features like under voltage lockout, OT protection, OCP, SCP and OVP, and with primary side on/off. The device meets industrial standard 24V and telecom standard 48V and is rated Class2/Category2. It also meets the latest IPC-9592B derating requirements. The device is fully compliant with ROHS, UL/CSA/IEC60950-1, 2nd +A2 version and designed to accommodate PoE (15W), PoE+ (30W) and UPoE (60W).
