New conductive polymer aluminium solid capacitors benefit from high ripple current and low ESR values

29-11-2017 | Panasonic | Passives

Panasonic Industry Europe has introduced a new series of smoothing capacitors featuring a high ripple current of 5.8Amps and enabling miniaturisation of switching power supplies. The SEPG series of radial lead-type conductive polymer aluminium solid capacitors further benefits from low ESR values of maximum 10mOhm and stable characteristics at a broad temperature range from -55C up to +105C. The series components have a long operating life span, excellent moisture resistance, and are RoHS compliant and halogen-free. Andreas Lapucha, product marketing manager Capacitors at Panasonic remarks: “Thanks to their excellent moisture resistance our new SEPG series capacitors are well suited for use in outdoor applications like base stations, security cameras, and PV inverters. They are also well suited for use in electronic meters, industrial displays, and server/data centres.”
