Modular laptop provides a platform to learn and develop coding skills

RS Components offers the pi-top modular laptop v2. This device provides educators, makers and inventors a platform to learn and develop coding skills operating as a fully functioning laptop. The modular design utilises the Raspberry Pi to provide the computing power. In the laptop case, a magnetic rail provides a simple method to augment the pi-top with a range of add-ons, such as speakers and prototyping boards. It features easy access to an installed Raspberry Pi and other internals are provided by an innovative sliding keyboard and trackpad. There is an included 8GB micro SD card. The card is pre-loaded with the latest operating system and an inventor's kit with 20 projects to get you started. Included with the laptop is an inventor's kit featuring more than 20 projects to help you begin experimenting with coding and electronics. There are three inventor journeys to follow: Smart Robot, Music Maker and Space Race.
