TVS array for circuit protection in telecommunications and wireless equipment

ProTek Devices has added the SMP6LLC15-2P to its series of SMP6LLCxx-2P multi-line low-capacitance (5pF) TVS arrays suited for circuit protection in telecommunication equipment, CPE, and wireless communication equipment. The new product has a rated stand-off voltage of 15V. Other voltages in the series are 5V, 6.5V, and 12V. The series is designed for board-level circuit protection for standard TTL and MOS bus line applications. This includes protection against damaging effects of ESD, tertiary lightning and switching transients. The series is compliant with RTCA DO-160G. It is also IEC compatible with standards 61000-4-2 (ESD): air - 15kV, contact - 8kV; 61000-4-4 (EFT): 40A - 5/50ns; and 61000-4-5 (surge): 100A, 100A (2/10 micro seconds) per Bellcore GR-1089 (intra building). Also, it's RoHS and REACH compliant. The SMP6LLC15-2P offers 400W peak pulse power per line (typical = 10/1000 micro seconds), 3,900W peak pulse power per line (typical = 8/20 micro seconds). It delivers ITKU.20 peak pulse current at 40A (5/310 micro seconds). It offers electrical engineer designers bi-directional configuration and high-surge capabilities to protect two lines.
