Capacitor rated at 760VAC for high voltage industrial applications

Murata has announced the DE1 Type RB series of X1 class leaded ceramic safety capacitors. Suiting use in high voltage industrial applications such as three-phase power supplies or inverters driving three-phase motors, the series is rated at 760VAC (RMS) for X1 class use. The DE1 complies with the internationally recognized standards IEC 60384-14, UL60384-14 and EN60384-14 for X1/Y1 class capacitors used in EMI suppression circuits. With compact dimension, the capacitor also helps reduce the overall space demands of the application. It is also rated with a high maximum operating temperature of 125C, allowing it to be placed close to the source of the electromagnetic noise. The series can also be used as a Y1 class capacitor for connecting between an AC power line and ground, for which it is rated at 500VAC (RMS). The series is available in standard values from 10 pF to 4,700pF and has value-dependent dimensions from 6mm to 14mm outer diameter.
