The ON Semiconductor NCV7718 is a hex half-bridge driver with protection features designed specifically for industrial motion control and automotive applications. It is available now from RS Components. The device has independent diagnostics and controls. The device can be operated in reverse, forward, brake, and high impedance states. The drivers are controlled via a 16-bit SPI interface and are daisy chain compatible.
