Fixture-integrated sensor with Bluetooth mesh connectivity developed by partners

08-03-2018 | Murata | Test & Measurement

Murata has partnered with Silvair for their Bluetooth mesh stack and commissioning platform with its fixture-integrated sensor, one of the first commercially available products with Bluetooth mesh connectivity for professional lighting. The sensor is integrated into a small cylindrical package combining daylight harvesting, occupancy sensing, 0-10V analog dimming and Bluetooth mesh radio circuits that uses Silvair’s Bluetooth mesh stack. It allows any lighting manufacturer to deliver wirelessly-controllable and sensor-equipped fixtures with minimum engineering effort when used with 0-10V dim-to-off LED drivers. “We are delighted to join forces with one of the world’s leading component manufacturers. I am absolutely convinced that Murata’s fixture-integrated sensor driven by our Bluetooth® mesh-based technology will become an important part of many lighting control systems” said Rafal Han, CEO of Silvair. “Our relationship with Murata symbolises a revolution that is about to disrupt an entire lighting industry.” “We are very excited to collaborate with Silvair on launching our fixture-integrated sensor node into the Bluetooth® ecosystem,” said Norio Nakajima, Murata’s senior executive Vice President, Module Business Unit. “Our RF design and sensor technologies combined with Silvair’s solution enable our customers to provide future-proof IoT lighting fixtures, which we believe will transform commercial buildings to even more comfort and efficient spaces.” Light + Building, Booth 9.1 E80, Frankfurt, March 18-23
