Murata has launched a series of encapsulated DC-DC converters designed specifically for industrial mobility, industrial and railway applications. The 50W IRS-Q48 series from the company offers market-leading efficiency using the latest technology for fixed frequency switching power supply architectures, in an industry standard 1/16th brick pinout.
The company's IRS-Q48 series provides basic insulation with 2250VDC input-to-output isolation and a fully regulated DC output. The series includes modules with outputs of 3.3, 5 and 12VDC with up to 50W of output power. The universal Vin range of 18-75VDC meets the requirements of EN50155 for nominal input voltages of 37.5VDC and 48VDC including brown out and transient conditions.
Standard features of the series offer encapsulated mechanical design, baseplate cooling, on/off logic control, output short circuit and overvoltage protection, as well as, input UVLO over temperature protection circuits.
The converters incorporate the latest fixed switching frequency technology for power conversion offered today, and the optional packaging configurations, efficiency, safety features and high reliability provide an unmatched level of performance.
