CMOS system SoC integrates ECDH security protocol

12-03-2018 | RS Components | Semiconductors

The Microchip ATECC608A integrates ECDH (Elliptic Curve Diffie Hellman) security protocol. This is an ultra-secure method to provide key agreement for encryption/decryption, along with ECDSA (Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm) sign-verify authentication. Targeted for the IoT market applications include home automation, industrial networking, medical, as well as accessories and consumables authentication and more. The device features a cryptographic co-processor with secure hardware-based key storage, which offers protected storage for up to 16 Keys, certificates or data. The device also offers hardware support for asymmetric sign, verify, key agreement. It has hardware support for symmetric algorithms, with networking key management support.
