Rugged and reliable connectors offer design flexibility for demanding applications

TE Connectivity’s Dynamic Series connector solutions created for use in high density, signal and power applications for control systems are now available from TTI Europe. In wire-to-panel, wire-to-board and wire-to-wire styles with a wide variety of ruggedised housings, they give design flexibility for very demanding applications in testing environments, such as HMI, robotics, industrial control, data communications, power distribution, motion and drives, industrial process controls, switching power supplies, factory automation computers and others. These interconnects provide a large, high-performance contact area that stops the risk of disconnection over time, plus the box contact has three points of contact to guarantee continuity of electrical current. Also, the sturdy retention legs and contacts of the series act as a strain relief. Other physical characteristics include keyed housings to stop misalignment or mis-mating, which makes installation in the field easier and reduces maintenance time for service engineers. Correct mating is verified with an audible locking sound. Tooling options are available for semi-automated termination, in addition to hand tools for field termination and repair.
