Small isolated DC-DC converters for renewable energy applications

26-03-2018 | TTI Europe | Power

Now available through TTI Europe are small isolated DC-DC converters from Murata for renewable energy applications. The components offer a unique miniaturised solution to decrease design complexity and time-to-market. They give the power and performance characteristics required to support the harsh demands over alternative methods. The company's small isolated converters benefit from no opto feedback and are available with two, three or four isolated output voltages for IGBT/SiC and MOSFET gate drives in half bridge configuration. Additional technical details include ultra-low coupling capacitance (typically 15pF), a DC link voltage of 3kVDC, characterized dv/dt immunity 80kV/µs at 1.6kV, and input voltages of 5V, 12V, and 24V.
