New sealed connector system offers increased reliability and protects against water and dirt

Molex offers the new Squba 1.8mm-Pitch Sealed Wire-to-Wire Connector System, created to fit in small spaces and afford protection against dust, liquid and dirt. The connectors carry up to a 6A current and give an IP67 NEMA rating on the seals. Seals are retained with caps to give manufacturers of lighting, sensors, vending machines and liquid dispensers a durable barrier from moisture and dust. This product is supremely flexible, with options for two to 10 circuits, operating temperature limits ranging from -40C to +105C, and 30N of terminal retention. The positive latch is low profile and created to prevent wires from becoming caught or damaged. “Ultimately, this new Squba system will provide more cost-effective power,” said Michael Gonzalez, global product manager, Molex. “Through innovation, we are driving more power in smaller spaces.”
