Switchtec are offering Kyland’s Opal series industrial Ethernet switches to meet the growing demand for smarter, smaller control panels that need to interface with external devices and systems in an industrial environment.
Available in 5, 8, and 16 port variants, these able Ethernet switches are unmanaged types, and as such require no setup, as they are plug and play. An unmanaged switch enables Ethernet devices to communicate automatically using auto-negotiation to determine parameters such as data rates and whether to use half-duplex or full-duplex mode.
This series of Ethernet switches are supplied with dual/redundant power inputs, and being multi-voltage, they can work on 18VAC to 30VAC, and 12VDC to 48VDC powered systems.
