Qoitech AB has released version 2.0.0 of the Otii multi-platform desktop software environment that supports the Otii Arc, the innovative energy consumption analysis hardware for developers. Together, the company's hardware and software support engineers to maximize battery life and minimise power consumption in portable, fixed and connected devices aimed at the IoT.
"We are constantly evolving the Otii platform to surpass developers' needs," said Vanja Samuelsson, founder of Qoitech. "Many of the improvements incorporated into this release were suggested by our community and will benefit all existing and future customers."
The Otii software environment is offered as a download from the company's website to allow developers to immediately experience the benefits of the platform. The platform also supports scripts, written in the popular, lightweight and embeddable scripting language, Lua. This gives a powerful yet simple way to get the most out of the Arc hardware; new Lua scripting functions have been added to the latest software release to offer improved battery simulation, for example.
