Redesigned connectors with improved grounding ensure consistent electrical performance

01-06-2018 | Amphenol | Connectors, Switches & EMECH

Amphenol RF has introduced a selection of redesigned TNC connectors optimised for use with Low Loss 195 and 240 cables. These cables provide enhanced shielding with a bonded foil construction poroviding 100% coverage. The connectors offer a nominal impedance of 50Ohms and give low return loss from DC to 6GHz. The new TNC connectors are provided in bulkhead jack, straight jack, straight plug and right angle plug configurations. All designs feature a crimp termination, giving quick and secure assembly, and need standard hex crimp tooling. These redesigned connectors offer constant electrical performance at high frequencies and provide upgraded grounding for more stable RF performance. The company’s TNC connectors are ideal for applications demanding high reliability and low signal loss. The connectors can also be used in various industrial, wireless, and broadband solutions.
