TVS array for circuit protection in popular data interfaces

29-08-2018 | Protek | Passives

ProTek Devices offers a TVS array for circuit protection in common data interface connections such as FireWire, Gigabit Ethernet, USB 2.0 and 3.0, and HDMI 1.4 and 2.0. The very low capacitance for the new PLR0521U TVS array is 0.8pF max (typical). The device shields these interfaces from the damaging effects of ESD and EFT. It meets or exceeds several IEC standards. The standards are 61000-4-2 (ESD): air ±15kV, contact ±8kV; 61000-4-4 (EFT); and 61000-4-5 (surge): 4A, 80W, 8/20 microseconds. The TVS array also has a low clamping voltage and shields one unidirectional line. Peak pulse power is 80W (typical at 8/20 microseconds). The rated standoff voltage is 5. It is also RoHS and REACH compliant.
