DC-DC converter in ultra-compact package offers wide input range

Traco Power has released their new TEL10WI series of 10W DC-DC converters in the DIP-16 package which measures 0.94" x 0.54" x 0.31", the series sets the new standard for 10W power density with 3.83W/cm³. Approved to UL62368-1 and UL60950, the devices are economical solutions for space critical and cost-sensitive applications in IT, instrumentation, and industrial electronics. The device features a 4:1 input ranging from 9-36Vin or 18-75Vin and 14 single and dual output models of 3.3, 5.1, 12, 15, 24, ±12 and ±15VDC. High efficiency of 80-88% helps allow a broad operating temperature range of -40C to +88C (derating >70C). These high-density DC-DC converters are enclosed in a six-sided shielded metal case with an insulated base plate, an internal filter to meet EN 55032 class A conducted emissions or class B with external components and short circuit/overload protection circuits.
