Available now from TTI Europe is Eaton's XLR-48 supercapacitor module. The device is a high reliability, high power, ultra-high capacitance energy storage device using an electrochemical double layer capacitor (EDLC) construction. It can be applied as the sole energy storage or in combination with batteries to optimise cost, lifetime and run time.
The device features low ESR for high power density with environmentally friendly materials. The device's high power density optimises energy consumption, energy storage footprint and weight. The module offers a wide operating temperature range to allow for multiple installation locations and environments, giving millions of charge/discharge cycles for life of the application.
The device does not contain any heavy metals, is RoHS compliant, and non-hazardous. The device is maintenance-free with design lifetimes of up to 20 years.
