Binder – Full selection of circular industrial connectors for harsh environments

Binder UK will be showcasing examples from its comprehensive range of circular connectors including its HEC (Harsh Environment Connector) industrial connectors at EDS 2018. The companies Series 696, HEC connectors are UL approved connectors with exceptional resistance to UV, temperature fluctuations, acid rain, salt spray, ozone and other pollutants. The connector’s design emphasises a secure, three-point fast locking mechanism with a robust coding system that stops incorrect orientation. The use of crimp contacts makes for vibration-proof terminations. The connectors are created from a tough UL 94V-0 rated polyamide and are dustproof and waterproof to IP68/IP69k which means they can endure the levels of harsh treatment found in applications like construction, and agriculture where the use of high-pressure washing is common. Other applications comprise process engineering plants, traffic and signalling systems, water purification facilities and recycling equipment. Several contact arrangements are offered including an eight-pole hybrid with four signal contacts and 3+PE which can accommodate a mixture of wire sizes.
