New anti-vibration RF/microwave coaxial connector range for harsh environments

RS Components has launched a series of RS Pro anti-vibration hermetically sealed coaxial connectors for RF and microwave applications. Perfect for use in harsh application environments and improving the design of standard push-on RF/microwave connectors, a principal feature of the anti-vibration connector range is its screwing mechanism that stops accidental disconnection. Devices in the range meet vibration requirements to MIL-STD-202, method 204, condition G. Features of the range incorporate SMPM sub-miniature push-on blind-mate coaxial connectors, which offer a micro-miniature interface that maximises performance in extremely compact spaces, thus allowing a reduction in overall system weight. The devices can be mated with the RS Pro GPPO, SSMP and Mini-SMP series, and provide high reliability and superior electronic performance from DC up to 65GHz. A second type is the extended frequency SMA range, which satisfies coaxial system operation demands at 26.5GHz. Similar to the RS Pro SSMA series, the range offers miniature RF connectors that provide a screw-coupling and are intended for use with smaller diameter semi-rigid cables.
