The Texas Instruments MSP-EXP430FR2355 LaunchPad Development Kit is an easy-to-use EVM based on the MSP430FR2355 Value Line MCU. It provides everything required to start developing on the ultra-low-power MSP430FR2x Value Line MCU platform, including on-board debug probe for programming, debugging and energy measurements. The board includes two buttons and two LEDs for building a simple user interface. It also provides an ambient light sensor and connector for external analog sources. The MCU comprises a smart analog combo of configurable signal chain elements providing options for multiple 12-bit DACs and PGAs along with a 12-bit ADC and two eCOMPs. One of the out-of-box demos comprises a GUI to showcase some of the smart analog combo configurations. The 24MHz device highlights 32KB of embedded FRAM, a non-volatile memory known for its high endurance, ultra-low power, and high-speed write access. Combined with the 4KB of on-chip SRAM, users can access 32KB of memory split between their program and data as needed. For example, a data logging application may need a large data memory with a comparatively small program memory, so the memory may be allotted as needed between program and data memory.
