Powersolve has extended its battery charger range with the launch of a compact charger created specifically for 36V, 10 cell Li-on battery packs. These batteries are being extensively used today in applications that incoporate the growing electric bike sector.
The company's PFY105-42-2 runs from a wide AC input with a 2.5A output at 42V. At 105W, the new charger will easily charge Li-ion battery packs as well as the popular LiFeP04 alternatives that are popular today.
The device is an efficient unit which is protected against short circuit, overload and has fused input protection. At no load, power consumption is only 0.21W.
Housed in a compact (153mm x 60mm x 36.5mm) case, connection is by an industry standard four-pin XLR connector. The device can be dropped from a height of 90cm on to a dry wood surface and will not break and will pass a 10Mohm insulation test.
The device is CE certified for EMC and LVD and satisfies all the relevant EMC approvals.
