SoC brings ultra-low-power wireless technology to IoT

22-10-2018 | RS Components | Semiconductors

The ON Semiconductor RSL10 is a multi-protocol Bluetooth 5 certified radio SoC which brings ultra-low-power wireless technology to IoT. The device offers what is claimed to be the industry’s lowest power consumption helping to provide devices like heart rate monitors with advanced wireless features while optimising system size and battery life. Unlike most other multi-protocol radio SoCs, the device is specifically created for applications using 1.2V and 1.5V batteries and supports a voltage supply range between 1.1V and 3.3V without a required DC-DC converter. Their low power consumption makes them perfect for use in small applications. They may combine digital, analogue, mixed-signal and even radio-frequency functions all on one chip.
