GaN low noise amplifier gives low noise figure performance

01-11-2018 | Custom MMIC | Power

The CMD290 from Custom MMIC is a wideband GaN MMIC distributed low noise amplifier die which runs from 2GHz to 26GHz. The broadband device is perfectly suited for applications needing low noise figure performance and high input power survivability. The device delivers 12.5dB of gain with a corresponding noise figure of 2.3dB and an output 1dB compression point of +19dBm at 13GHz. This GaN LNA provides an RF input power survivability of 2W. It is a 50Ohm matched design which removes the necessity for external DC blocks and RF port matching. The broadband device is perfectly suited for applications demanding low noise figure performance and high input power survivability. The device is available in die form and is fully passivated for enhanced reliability and moisture protection.
