InGaAs/InP broadband PIN photodiodes supports high-speed communications in many applications

Marktech Optoelectronics has introduced the Model MTPD1346D-xx series, which is a family of InGaAs/InP broadband PIN photodiodes. Marktech InGaAs/InP PIN photodiodes are intended to effectively convert broadband light into photocurrents within the VIS-SWIR range. As well as to their low noise, high sensitivity and high-speed response, they provide wide standard spectral ranges of 0.6µm to 1.7µm (1.7µm material), low dark current, and high efficiency, typically 0.6A/W. Standard series broadband PIN photodiodes are provided in active area sizes from 0.1mm to 3mm. Each is packaged within a hermetically sealed, three-pin TO-46 metal can with flat lens cap, and with an option of either thru-hole or surface mounting. The photodiodes are intended to effectively support a broad array of applications, especially where high-speed performance, low dark current, small capacitance, high data rates, and smaller active area sizes are needed. Typical applications include automation, autonomous vehicles, aerospace, high-speed communications, industrial controls, medical, LIDAR, material and chemical analysis, security, and wearables, among others.
