Crimp connector housing designed to save space and make them tangle-free

The Hirose DF62W, 2.2mm Pitch, 2 Way, 1 Row Male Crimp Connector Housings was created to take advantage of small/narrow spaces. The product is now available from RS Components. The contacts are organised in a grid pattern which reduces the diagonal distances, and the body was slimmed down by producing smooth outer surfaces. This design serves to save valuable space and makes these connectors practically tangle free. There is no visible or exposed metal which would exclude the possibility of electrical arcing between the connector and the inside of a metal conduit. The locking structure emits a clear tactile click upon lock completion. After completion, a second indicator can be used. The socket lock can be checked visually through the plug window after mating. These indicators operate together to prevent incomplete mating. The connector is water resistant and has pin count variations available in 2, 3, 4, 6 and 9 positions.
